Ms. Shamara Walker M.S., CCC-SLP
Owner / Speech Therapist
Ms. Shamara began practicing as a board-certified Speech Pathologist after receiving the highest caliber medical training and education from Columbia University. In 2007, Ms. Shamara opened her first clinic to offer families and schools of Northern New Jersey with professional diagnoses and individualized treatment plans. Her goal was not and is not to just treat a delay or disorder, but also to maintain your growth and development through education and family involvement. Ms. Shamara continues to implement evidence-based practices and the latest developments in speech therapy to keep providing the most effective treatments available to patients and their families. In her spare time, Ms. Shamara enjoys spending time with her family, attending their football, baseball, and track meets. She enjoys cooking, traveling, and watching movies at home.

I graduated from Western Michigan University in 2007 with a bachelors in Psychology and Health and Human Services and a minor in Business. From there I went to Brenau University to pursue Occupational Therapy. I graduated from Brenau in 2010 with a masters in Occupational Therapy. I enjoy the diversity of OT and have experience in vision, assistive technology, vocational rehabilitation, assisted living care and pediatric outpatient settings. I have additional training and certifications in Handwriting without Tears program, home modifications, sensory integration, LAMP AAC device, Integrated Listening, Interactive Metronome and Physical Agent Modalities. I am also apart of Georgia's Occupational Therapy, NBCOT, and Georgia Hand and Upper Extremity Special Interest associations. I have resided in Johns Creek Georgia since 2007 and enjoy visiting with friends and family on the weekends. I enjoy being outside playing with my dogs, going antiquing, crafting, gardening, visiting the beach, concerts, festivals, and Braves games.
